Bookings will open for the new Celebrity River Cruises brand this year, with 10 ships ordered and sailings initially launching in Europe
Promising the sophisticated approach of its Edge series ocean ships, Celebrity River Cruises will commit to "innovat[ing] and elevat[ing] the river cruise experience as we meet the growing demand for intimate, culturally enriching travel experiences," according to president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, Jason Liberty.
"With about half of our guests having experienced or intending to vacation on a river cruise, we know they will enjoy Celebrity’s elevated offering on the river. By leveraging our valuable loyalty programs across our three brands, we will deepen customer engagement and further our ability to keep guests within our ecosystem of vacation offerings."
Celebrity Cruises has placed a 10-ship order for its new brand; it has also confirmed that sales will open this year. The first itineraries will sail in Europe in 2027.
