After welcoming more than 10 million passengers through its terminal gates last year, the airport has outlined ambitious growth plans, hoping to bolster connections to North America and the Middle East
2024 represented a 7% passenger traffic increase against 2023, cementing Bristol Airport's place as one of the UK's fastest-growing airports of the last half-decade.
Notable demand for European cities (Amsterdam & Paris) and new routes to Istanbul and Agadir among others fuelled the record performance.
The airport's growth plans through 2040 should see bolstered connections, with CEO Dave Lees currently exploring "how we would meet the strong and growing demand of people in the region... and the improvements we intend to make to further enhance the customer experience."
easyJet has confirmed an additional Airbus A320 will join its Bristol fleet from June.
