Audley Travel to offer trips to Scandinavia

Audley Travel has expanded its European programme, to include trips to Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

Travel agents can now book a variety of trips to different countries in Scandinavia, including Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Some of the highlights of the trip include:

Norway

Audley?s trips to Norway initially focus on Oslo, Bergen and the Norwegian fjords. Highlights of the excursion programme available with Audley include a gastronomic tour of Bergen (which takes in Bryggen, the UNESCO protected old town of Bergen, while sampling seafood and other traditional cuisine). They will also enjoy kayaking in the fjords, exploring Sognefjord and N?r?yfjord (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) by open Zodiac boat and a Hardangerfjord cider & farm experience which sees clients walk through the orchards the region is famous for and visit a local ?conomus?e farm to learn about cider production from the farm owners, whilst enjoying tastings.

Denmark

Audley?s offering in Denmark focuses around Copenhagen for launch, with day trips to Roskilde, north New Zealand & southern Sweden. Some highlights include a Sm?rrebr?d cooking class (learning to make the traditional Danish open sandwich), a bike tour of Copenhagen, a kayak tour through Copenhagen?s canals and a day trip to Roskilde to learn about its history, which dates back to the Viking Age, and a visit to famous cathedrals, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sweden

Audley?s trips to Sweden focus initially on Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malm? and Swedish Lapland. The highlights of the trip to Stockholm include, sailing through the city?s archipelago or exploring the city by kayaking. In Malm? clients can see the sights by boat or bike and in Gothenburg, they can take a shrimp and salmon cruise through the archipelago. In Lapland, Audley?s clients can enjoy excursions including a S?mi experience, where they help feed the reindeer and learn about their importance in the S?mi culture. Other options include a sleigh ride, a snowmobile safari through snow-covered pine forests, and a moose safari through the forest with a S?mi guide in a vehicle.

These are sample itineraries, which focus on individual countries, as well as some themed trips that span all three. Audley?s itineraries are customisable for clients.

For example, a six-day Introduction to Norway trip costs ?2,240 per person. A nine-day Active Scandinavia itinerary costs ?4,490 per person. A thirteen-day Highlights of Swedish summer itinerary costs ?4,840 per person. All prices are based on double sharing and includes flights, transfers, accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis and excursions.
