'Around the World in 180 Days' with Oceania Cruises

The cruise line's 180-day voyage is their most extensive and in-depth itinerary to date.

Oceania Cruises, the culinary- and destination-focused cruise line, has revealed its 2023 'Around the World in 180 Days' voyage, which will go on sale on January 27, 2021.

Departing from San Francisco on January 15, 2023, adventures sailing aboard the 684-guest Insignia will visit 96 destinations across 33 countries, reaching four continents. A range of in-depth, immersive experiences are on offer during the multi-day stays in 20 ports of call during the voyage, from Africa to Alaska.

In a special earlybird offer running until June 30, 2021, the 180-day cruise starts at £38,059 per person based on an inside stateroom. A veranda stateroom starts at £51,549 per person, with penthouse suites from £74,019. All fares include return business class flights to San Francisco, transfers, one-night in a local hotel before the cruise, $6,400 onboard credit and free WiFi.

Bob Binder, CEO of Oceania Cruises, commented: “We now know how irreplaceable these experiences are and cherish the privilege of travel more than ever. Travel connects us through shared experiences, creates lifelong bonds, and enriches us in ways we never would have imagined. That was the mindset that guided us in crafting this epic around the world voyage for our guests.”

The itinerary takes guests to more than 60 UNESCO World Heritage sites and five included shoreside events: an Argentinian cultural exposition in Buenos Aires (including an equestrian show and tango lessons), an afternoon at the renowned Boschendal Winery in Cape Town, an evening at Al Maha Desert Dune in the Arabian Desert, a Burmese monk donation ceremony in Myanmar and a candlelit evening at Vung Duc Cave in Ha Long Bay, outside of Hanoi.

All guests will receive their choice of 64 free shore excursions, a free beverage package, or $6,400 shipboard credit. All guests will also receive Oceania's Exclusive Prestige Package, including: business class roundtrip airfare, gratuities, exclusive shoreside events, one-night luxury hotel stay in San Francisco, transfers, $1,000 shipboard credit per stateroom, and onboard medical care, internet and laundry services.
