A-ROSA to resume sailings in June

The European cruise line is set to return to rivers this June, with the Douro, Rhine and Danube cruises resuming in mid-June and French cruises by the end of June.

A-ROSA intends to resume its cruising across Europe's rivers in June, after the continent's vaccine rollout continued successfully and the pandemic's travel restrictions look to be easing this summer.

A-ROSA's voyages along the Douro, Rhine and Danube are expected to resume by mid-June, with the French river cruises launching at the end of the same month.

Portugal reopened its borders on May 17, 2021, with Austria allowing river cruises on the Danube from May 19, 2021. German federal states along the Rhine have announced the re-opening of tourism in its next re-opening phase, expected in mid-June. A four-stage plan in France is set to allow cruise and passenger ships to operate from June 30, 2021.

Following the pandemic, A-ROSA sailed for five months last year.

J?rg Eichler, managing director of A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH comments: ?It is really encouraging that tourism in Europe finally looks like it can return soon. We are busy adapting and updating our current protocols in line with the latest regulations in the countries we sail through, and will announce them in the coming days. Our successful five months of sailing in 2020 clearly shows that cruising with A-ROSA can be safe and enjoyable.?
