Ryanair has today announced that it is launching a new, twice-weekly service to Portugal from Teesside Airport next month.
The airline will be flying from Teesside to Faro, the capital of the country's Algarve region, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 16, with tickets starting at ?19.99.
Portuguese authorities are also now allowing visitors from the UK into the country, meaning there are no barriers to people from Teesside, North Yorkshire and the wider North-East using their local airport for a summer getaway.
Ryanair?s commercial director, Jason McGuinness, said: ?To celebrate this new Faro route, we are launching a seat sale with fares available from just ?19.99, for travel from June until the end of October 2021, which must be booked by midnight Thursday, May 20..."
