The airline has now grown its network to more than 125 destinations across 58 countries, with five new destinations joining its schedule since the beginning of the year.
It is not just the airline's fleet or programme that has grown: the almost five million passengers flying with the airline between January 1st and the end of April this year represented a 13% increase against the same period in 2023.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai's CEO, said the extra capacity has "seen more passengers travel with us since the beginning of this year even though this growth has been dampened by the ongoing delays in aircraft deliveries," noting that the airline is still on track for one of its busiest summers on record.
