To help British families get back to nature, the Isle of Man has created a round-up of outdoor adventures and activities for families on the Island, available to download at visitisleofman.com/islandplayground
The Isle of Man is an outdoor playground and features a plethora of beaches, coastlines, picturesque glens and a range of activities such as kayaking, coasteering, cycling and hiking.
It is also home to some unusual and rare species of animals; off the coast of the Island you can catch a glimpse of basking sharks or spot wallabies in the wetlands.
Explorer Ray Mears has visited the Isle of Man recently and is an advocate of the Island as a fantastic destination for family getaways. He said: ?I feel very passionate about getting our kids outdoors, learning to respect, love and appreciate the beautiful natural environment that we?re lucky to have in the British Isles.
"The Isle of Man is the ideal location for getting kids outside ? it?s a natural adventure playground, with glens to explore, craggy coastlines to navigate and plenty of animals to see in their natural environment ? all within easy distance so that children of any age can really get involved with nature.?
