WestJet makes Glasgow return with new Toronto service

WestJet plane flying over Toronto

After four years WestJet is returning to Glasgow with the launch of a direct service to Toronto taking to the skies from May 15th, 2026

The route will operate four times per week to Toronto Pearson International Airport aboard the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 Max aircrafts.

Not only will the new route provide increased access to the Canadian city, it will also provide further connectivity to Canada through WestJet’s extensive network.

Matt Hazelwood, chief commercial officer at AGS Airports, said he is “thrilled to welcome WestJet back to Glasgow Airport” as the new route “highlights [the airline’s] confidence in the Glasgow market and demonstrates the strong demand that clearly exists from both leisure and business passengers for transatlantic connectivity.”

Alex von Hoenbroech, WestJet chief executive officer, said, “Toronto Pearson International Airport serves as a natural connector for international travel, and we look forward to the two-way travel opportunities that will come from one of WestJet’s biggest investments in the region.”

Glasgow Airport has a long history with WestJet as it was the first UK base the airline operated from when it first touched down back in 2015.
