The brand's first Nordic property spans 116 rooms in the heart of Helsinki
The Walford Astoria Helsinki occupies four historic buildings in the city, with 32 of its 116 rooms firmly in the suite category, hosting in-room saunas and private terraces.
Hilton's EMEA president, Simon Vincent, highlighted the "more than 2.2 million visitors drawn to the city last year... with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Helsinki, we’re proud to introduce Hilton’s first luxury property in the Nordics."
A new restaurant is set to be added to the property's existing on-site amenities, including the Peacock Bar (inspired by the original home of the brand in New York), next year.
Hilton Luxury Brands' senior VP, Dino Michael, added, "Waldorf Astoria Helsinki is more than a hotel - it’s a celebration of timeless elegance and refined luxury in the heart of Finland’s capital. This opening marks an exciting new chapter in the continued global success of our iconic brand."
