Virgin Voyages has shattered its all-time single-day revenue record following the launch of its inaugural Scandinavia and Baltics programme
Setting sail from Amsterdam in the summer of 2028, the newly refitted Valiant Lady will offer five new itineraries exploring the Scandinavian capitals, the Norwegian fjords, and the Arctic Circle. The unprecedented early interest, particularly for the 11-night Arctic Circle journey, drove August booking rates to surge more than 45% ahead of last year's figures, generating more than half of the cruise line's total revenue on its record-breaking launch day.
Reflecting on this strategic milestone and the brand's deepening market penetration, chief executive oficer Nirmal Saverimuttu shared, “Breaking a record on a random Thursday in August seems odd until you realise all of the momentum we’ve built over the last eight months. It’s pretty incredible, but what excites me most is knowing we’re now the go-to brand for anyone traveling without kids, and we remain dedicated to creating unparalleled joy for our Sailors and First Mates alike.”
As the cruise line continues to expand its global footprint and elevate the customer emrtxperience with new onboard offerings like the Ariya restaurant, it is also reinforcing its commitment to trade partners by offering advanced marketing tools and training via Seacademy.
