Luxury river cruise line Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is riding a massive wave of record demand from UK travellers
Bookings for 2026 are up a staggering 32% year-on-year, and 2027 is already smashing it, sitting 63% ahead of the same point last year! To celebrate the surge, the brand is rolling out a fresh lineup of ships, immersive experiences, and cruise-and-tour holidays.
Kicking things off is a brand-new generation of Super Ships. The S.S. Emilie has already hit the water this season, with three more sleek vessels joining the fleet by 2027. Cycling fans can also rejoice: all European ships now feature a fleet of iconic Brompton bikes for independent exploring. The cruise line is also expanding its partnerships, joining forces with Aqua Expeditions to bring the Aqua Blu into the portfolio for Indonesian adventures, alongside ultra-luxury river and ocean sailings with Seabourn.
Uniworld isn't stopping at the riverbank, either. They’ve teamed up with sister brand Luxury Gold for the new Ultimate Journeys of the World collection, pairing eight-day luxury river cruises with chic land tours – think Glacier Express rides and truffle hunting in Tuscany. Got the kids in tow? The popular Generations Collection is heading to France for the first time in summer 2026, featuring everything from kayaking to chocolate workshops.
Chris Townson, managing director of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, commented, "The record bookings we're seeing are hugely exciting, but what really drives us is the innovation behind them. Whether that's a new Super Ship, a truffle hunting excursion in Tuscany, or an after-hours experience in an iconic sight, we're constantly finding new ways to surprise and delight our guests."
