Travel Counsellors has expanded its programme of product trips with a new series of immersive experiences across India and Bhutan
This comes as part of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing technology platform for travel entrepreneurs’ strategy to invest in first-hand destination knowledge and expertise across its community.
Partnering with TBI, more than 40 Travel Counsellors and support team colleagues journeyed across the region during August and September, on three bespoke itineraries.
Each itinerary is designed to deepen destination knowledge, strengthen supplier relationships, and give Travel Counsellors greater insight and confidence when creating personalised trips for their customers.
‘Best of Bhutan’ took them to Thimphu, Gangtey, Punakha, and Paro, immersing the group in Bhutanese culture with monastery visits, traditional arts, local communities, and the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
The second itinerary, ‘Highlights of Kerala’, explored the diverse landscapes of southern India, from the historic streets of Kochi and Munnar’s tea plantations, to Priyar National Park, the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom, and the beaches of Mararikulan.
Travel Counsellors were taken through Delhi, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Agra, and the Chambal Valley on ‘Indian Golden Triangle’. This combined visits to iconic landmarks including the Taj Mahal and Amber Forst with authentic local experiences like heritage village walks, artisan workshops, bustling bazaars, and immersive food experiences.
Sejal Majithia-Jaswal, Travel Counsellor who went on the first product trip, said, “What struck me most about Bhutan was how naturally wellbeing is woven into everyday life.
“Experiencing that first-hand gave me a much deeper understanding of what makes Bhutan so special and the kind of customer it will really resonate with.”
The trips have built on Travel Counsellors’ growing programme of product trips, which has recently included destinations such as South Africa and Sri Lanka.
