Travel Counsellors has expanded its offering with a new series of educational experiencs in South Africa
In partnership with Sense of Africa and supported by South Africa Tourism, over 20 Travel Counsellors and a colleague from the support team travelled across the country on three bespoke itineraries designed to deepen destination knowledge, strengthen supplier relationships and inspire future customer bookings.
The 'Introduction to South Africa' itinerary took Travel Counsellors through Cape Town, with visits to Table Mountain, Cape Point, and a safari experience at Pumba Private Game Reserve.
'South Africa Rediscovered', the second itinerary, focused on the Kruger Region and the Panorama route, with stays at remarkable hotels such as Angels View, and Kruger Gate Hotel.
The third itinerary, 'South Africa Off the Beaten Track', explored KwaZulu-Natal, from Durban to Mfulawozi Reserve.
Travel Counsellors has seen sales to South Africa increase by 16% year-on-year, with 89% of bookings comprising premium leisure travel.
Suzanne Benadie, Managing Executive at Sense of Africa commented, “Travel Counsellors and Sense of Africa share a unique relationship – one of personal care, entrepreneurship at our core, and an aligned vision of always doing the right thing, by each other, and for the customer in country. Putting together activations that allow me, and my wider team, to spend time with Travel Counsellors, is a highlight for me, and seeing TCs fall in love with Sense of Africa, South Africa and our people, cultures and wildlife, puts real purpose into my why.”
