Servatur Hotels & Resorts kicks off a golden era of expansion by returning to its home in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria
2026 marks the 50th year of Servatur Hotels & Resorts since its inception in 1976. To celebrate the milestone, Servatur returned to its birthplace of Puerto Rico and has made plans for an intense, comprehensive renovation of its maiden property: Puerto Plata.
In addition to this monumental renovation, Servatur is modernising some of its classic properties across the Canary Islands. These hotels include: Servatur Puerto Azul, Monte Feliz, and Servatur Casablanca.
The beginning of 2026 alone saw the luxury hotel company’s portfolio grow by acquiring three new resorts, which brings its complete portfolio to 34 properties and approximately 5,200 rooms.
Michael Lund Jensen, CEO of Servatur, said, "We want to raise the standards of our historic resorts and consolidate our position as a leader in the Canary Islands. We are growing in scale, but our mission remains to facilitate memorable vacation experiences."
