Jane McDonald heads aboard Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Sakara in a new six-part Channel 5 documentary, due to air on January 2nd, 2026
'Jane McDonald: Pole to Pole' will spotlight the host's journey from Antarctic to the Arctic, beginning with a leg aboard Scenic Eclipse, during which Jane gets up-close with icebergs and Antarctic wildlife aboard a Zodiac.
Nichola Absalom, Scenic Group's UK managing director of sales and marketing, said the documentary "showcases remarkable destinations while highlighting the numerous luxurious experiences that guests can enjoy while travelling with us.
"It has been a joy working with Jane, whose passion for exploration is infectious, and we can’t wait for viewers to experience the extraordinary world of luxury cruising that awaits them."
The show's host, Jane McDonald, added, "This series completely blew my mind. I’ve always been a homegirl but the more I travel, the more I think that there’s more to life. I’ve been cruising for a lot of years now but the beauty of working with Scenic is that, unlike the big cruise ships, they can get into all sorts of places that I’ve never been before.
"This took me to places that I will never forget. I would work with Scenic again in a heartbeat."
The series will air on Channel 5 weekly on Fridays from January 2nd, 2026.
