Scenic Group announces major global fleet expansion through 2028 for 40th Anniversary

Scenic Group is marking its 40th anniversary milestone with an ambitious multi-year global fleet expansion across Europe, India, and Southeast Asia through 2028

The expansion commences in 2027 with Emerald Lumi navigating France’s Seine, Scenic’s debut on India’s Hooghly River, and the launch of the luxury yacht Emerald Raiya.

Growth accelerates through 2028 with Emerald Xara sailing warm-water routes including the Seychelles, two new ships; Scenic Spirit II and Scenic Spirit III, arriving on the Mekong, a river vessel planned for the Brahmaputra River, and the return of Scenic Eclipse II to Asia Pacific; crowning the expansion is the ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht Scenic Ikon, which debuts in the Mediterranean in April 2028 before sailing Antarctica.

Glen Moroney, Scenic Group Founder & Chairman, underscored the strategic vision driving this milestone, “From our beginnings in Australia in 1986, we have grown into a global travel group spanning all seven continents. Throughout that growth, our vision has remained the same: to continually elevate how our guests experience the world.

"Guest feedback drives our innovation and guides our investment in new ships, destinations and journeys. Designing, building, owning and operating our own fleet gives us greater control over the guest experience and the ability to translate those insights into new benchmarks in luxury cruising.

"This anniversary is an opportunity to thank our valued guests, partners, crew and teams around the world who have shaped Scenic Group’s success. As we look ahead, we remain focused on delivering experiences that build on everything we have learned over the past 40 years, with many more exciting new developments on the horizon.”

Travel advisors can capitalize on these new itineraries and enter the ‘Forty & Fabulous’ trade incentive before November 4th, 2026 by accessing partner resources and booking portals at www.scenic.cruises or www.emerald.cruises.
