Sandals Resorts International have announced a $200 million investment into the transformation of three of its Jamaican Resorts

Following Hurricane Melissa, Sandals Resorts International reopened five of its eight Jamaica properties in December with Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast remaining closed for assessment. This provided the opportunity for the company to enhance the offerings of the remaining three closed resorts.

The redefined resorts will include many aspects that will enhance guest experience from arrival, new accommodation types, redesigned pools, refreshed social spaces and much more. As a result, Sandals South Coast will reopen on 18th November 2026, followed by both Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Montego Bay on 18th December 2026.

Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, commented, “The opportunity to completely reimagine three resorts at this scale, with full focus and without compromising the guest experience, is extraordinarily rare. […] With our doors closed, we were given something we almost never have in hospitality, a true blank canvas and having that clarity changed everything.”
