The operator has revealed that over 1,000 agents are actively using its AI-powered trade assistant, with head of UK trade sales Amanda Docherty declaring it "an invaluable asset for our trade partners"
RIVA AI, which launched in November, provides in-depth itinerary insights, destination tips and information, ship or accommodation facts, mobility queries, and can even generate social media content to support customer engagement.
Continuing, Amanda added, "The speed and depth of information it provides mean agents can support their customers more efficiently than ever, especially during high peak demand. Every question asked helps us refine and enhance the tool even further - it truly is shaped by the trade, and we’re committed to continuing its evolution.
"We’re thrilled to see so many agents embracing it so quickly, and we’re committed to continuing its evolution to ensure it remains a trusted and powerful resource for the industry."
Current user data suggests most agents are using the tool at the point of sale, supporting Riviera Travel's trade partners during customer interactions and enquiries.
Emily White, a senior marketing executive at Premier Travel, reported, "The teams have been using RIVA and have been impressed with how informative and easy it is to access. For all the questions it has been asked, the answers were clear and returned very quickly, saving time and calls.
"It’s definitely a tool we are finding really useful for teams, and it will only help more going forward."
The operator has confirmed that several further enhancements to the tool are already in the works.
