Riviera Travel has officially launched its expanded 2027 dedicated solo holiday programme, empowering travel agents to capitalise on early demand and drive robust industry growth following a 45% year-on-year surge in trade bookings
The 2027 portfolio delivers an array of flexible itineraries for the independent traveler, offering double cabins with no single supplements on exclusively dedicated ships like the MS George Eliot, which currently sails the top-performing The Blue Danube for Solo Travellers.
On land, escorted tours to prime global locations are seeing exceptional traction, with Sri Lanka for Solo Travellers, New Zealand for Solo Travellers: Land of The Long White Cloud, and Ecuador & Galapagos for Solo Travellers leading the charge.
Riviera Travel has also added strategic new itineraries to the 2027 lineup, including Highlights of China for Solo Travellers, Victoria Falls, Botswana Safari & Cape Town for Solo Travellers, and The Silk Road for Solo Travellers.
Amanda Docherty, Head of Trade Ireland & UK at Riviera Travel, said, “These results are a true reflection of the strength of our partnerships across the trade, and we’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our agent community. Our agent partners continue to play an instrumental role in driving demand, and seeing such strong growth in solo bookings through the trade is hugely encouraging. It gives agents a strong foundation to build demand for 2027 departures across our river cruise portfolio. With solo customers booking 8.5 months out on average, starting conversations now is crucial for securing bookings for 2027. We remain committed to giving agents the support, tools and opportunities they need to make the most of every solo travel enquiry as this market continues to grow.”
Riviera currently offers 65 dedicated solo holidays.
