Head of trade & partnerships Vicky Billing thanked the trade for its support as the operator recognised its best-selling agents from across the UK at the Riv Awards in central London
At The Lookout on Bishopsgate, 17 winners were celebrated at the operator's inaugural Riv Awards event.
Regionally, the best-selling agents from Northern Ireland (Oasis Travel, Lisburn), Scotland (Barrhead Travel, Edinburgh the Gyle), the North East & Cumbria (Gates Travel, Kendal), Yorkshire & the Humber (Andrew Earle Travel, Brough), the North West (Henbury Travel), the Midlands (Regents Travel), the South East (AG River Cruises), the South West (Cartwright Travel), the East of England (Premier Travel St. Ives) and Homeworkers (Joanne Saunders) were all recognised with awards.
Wider National categories celebrated Riviera Travel's Best Up & Coming Trade Partner (CRUI.SE), Top Overall Account — Retail (Hays Travel), Top Overall Account — OTA (Rivercruising.co.uk) and Top Overall Account — Homeworkers (Travel Counsellors).
The national and regional winners were decided based on each category's top-selling agent.
Miles Morgan Travel & Fred. Olsen Travel were awarded special awards for Top Overall Engagement & Marketing Accounts and Christina Astill was certified as the brand's top agent ambassador.
Continuing, Vicky said, "Personally, if I could give every single person in the trade an award, I would. The support and growth we've seen — across both river cruise and touring — has been northing short of phenomenal, but it's the people behind it all who make the real difference."
