Steve Witt, Not Just Travel's co-founder, believes the 97% year-on-year increase in river cruise sales affirms the "belief that river cruising represents one of the most exciting opportunities in today's travel market"

The broader cruise market has recorded 30% year-on-year growth, making river cruises' near double against the same period in 2024 even more notable.

Throughout March, the group held dedicated river cruise and touring training for agents, with several new suppliers joining the likes of Riviera Travel, Scenic and Uniworld.

Continuing, Steve said, "Our month-long targeted approach has clearly resonated with both consultants and their customers who seek more intimate, culturally immersive travel experiences."

Clare Cruise, Not Just Travel's head of commercial, described the river cruise success as "tremendous," but reminded agents that "this is just the beginning.

"We've already begun planning an expanded programme for the coming year, including familiarisation trips and personalised training modules tailored to consultants at every experience level, from those new to river cruise sales to our seasoned specialists."
