Newmarket Holidays has announced the success of its new Trade Engagement Manager role, designed to drive engagement and awareness amongst the travel agent audience
Sas Rowbotham was appointed and has generated huge growth in reach and engagement across social channels.
The role was created earlier on in the year as part of a wider strategic push to strengthen the company’s support for its agent network, turning its agent-facing social channels into a support resource.
Newmarket Holidays’ TikTok following has increased by around 191% in the past 60 days, almost tripling in size. On Facebook, page views are up 133% and engagement is up 97% over the last month. The company has also recently launched a new Instagram page, which it is posting regularly on.
The engagement levels the company is seeing on TikTok is also sitting at roughly 15% above typical platform benchmarks.
The business invested in the role to build a two-way engagement with trade partners, turning the company’s agent-facing social channels into a proper support resource rather than just a sales tool.
Hayley Morris, Head of Trade Sales and Partnerships at Newmarket Holidays, said, “Investing in a dedicated role for trade engagement has changed how agents experience our trade agent-facing social channels.
“We’ve gone from putting out offers to actually supporting agents day to day, and the growth in the first couple of months shows how much appetite there was for that.”
