New service to Sal from Porto with TAP Air Portugal

TAP Air Portugal has launched a new service between Porto and Sal, in Cape Verde

The new route strengthens connectivity between Portugal and Cape Verde, consolidating the airline’s growth at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.

This is Tap’s seventh intercontinental route from Porto, with prices leading in at £238 for a return flight to Sal via Porto from London.

Flights on the service depart on Thursdays and Sundays at 20:50, arriving at Amílcar Cabral Airport at 00:20. In the opposite direction, flights depart from Sal on Fridays and Mondays at 01:20, arriving in Porto at 06:40.

This improves regular connections between Portugal and the archipelago, contributing to the mobility of communities, tourism and economic relations between the two countries.

At the departure of flight TP1561 at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, Maria João Cardoso, TAP’s Chief Maintenance Officer, said, “TAP is strengthening its operations in Porto and the northern region, and this route is a further step in that direction.

“We are thus enhancing Porto’s international connectivity and bringing Portugal and Cape Verde even closer together – a market of enormous historical, social and economic significance.

“It is a country with a growing tourism sector, all year round, and one that also offers great potential for business and economic investment. This flight demonstrates the airline’s commitment to offering more destinations, more options and greater convenience for our customers.”
