Secret Atlas has unveiled two new exclusive Northern Lights photography tours to the Arctic this September
Designed for travellers seeking an alternative to conventional expedition cruising, Secret Atlas voyages are limited to just 12 guests onboard, offering one-to-one photography tuition, wildlife encounters and expert-led exploration in one of the world's most remote destinations.
Secret Atlas’s ice-strengthened expedition vessels, Freya and Vikingfjord, can navigate deep into narrow fjords and anchor amongst the sea ice. This access can provide more time and a stable platform for long-exposure photography in some of the Arctic's most dramatic and least-visited environments.
Both voyages depart during the second-half of September, considered one of the best times to experience the Northern Lights in Scoresbysund, and when a full moon is expected offering the rare opportunity to capture icebergs under the conditions.
'Scoresbysund Northern Lights Photo Tour with Randy Hanna' leads in from £13,400 per person, and is a 9-day fly-cruise onboard Vikingfjord that offers the ideal opportunity to capture the aurora above the fjords of East Greenland, whilst being given photography tuition from polar photography expert Randy Hanna.
