Mid-year growth for Riviera travel sparks success

Riviera Travel is celebrating a standout mid-year performance in the trade, with passenger numbers and revenue both delivering impressive double-digit growth

Year-to-date results show UK trade passenger numbers have increased by 27% year-on-year, while revenue has grown by 33%.

This strong performance reflects demand across both river cruises and escorted touring.

River cruise continues to lead the way, with trade passenger numbers up 33% year-on-year and revenue increasing by 35%. The results highlight not only the strength of Riviera Travel’s core product, but also the confidence agents have in recommending the brand to their customers. Its solo cruise porgramme has shown strong success following the launch of Riviera's dedicated solo ship.

Touring has also delivered solid growth, with passenger numbers rising by 10% and revenue up 19%, as agents continue to drive demand across both European and long-haul programmes, highlighting the strength and diversity of Riviera Travel’s touring portfolio.

Riviera Travel credits part of this success to the launch of Riviera Explorer and RIVA AI, which are empowering agents with smarter, more accessible tools to support sales and customer engagement.

Amanda Docherty, Head of Trade UK & Ireland at Riviera Travel,  commented, “These results are a true reflection of the strength of our partnerships across the trade, and we’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our agent community. Seeing such strong growth across both passenger numbers and revenue is hugely encouraging and highlights the confidence agents have in Riviera Travel and our product portfolio. Our partners have fully embraced everything we’ve introduced—from enhanced tools to commercial initiatives—and their passion and expertise have been instrumental in driving this success. We remain committed to investing in our trade relationships and ensuring agents have the support, tools and opportunities they need to maximise every sale as we move into the second half of the year.”
