Mercury Holidays welcomes new escorted touring options for 2026

The Taj Mahal seen through an arch

Five new tours join Mercury’s portfolio for 2026 to destinations including India, Tunisia, Sri Lanka and the Balkans

The new offering aims to immerse travellers deeper in the cultures of the destinations and go beyond the traditional tourist hotspots.

One of the new itineraries is the 15-day ‘India & Sri Lanka: Forts, Temples and Tigers’ which combines two of Mercury’s bestselling destinations into a singular journey. Travellers will visit numerous historical sites including the Taj Mahal and the Sigiriya rock fortress before witnessing Bengal tigers and elephants bathing and grazing at Pinnawala. Prices for the tour lead in from £2,399 per person.

The other additions include the 12-night ‘Journey through the Balkans’; 10-night ‘Wonders of Tunisia: From Carthage to Sahara’; the eight-day ‘Puglia – Treasures of Southern Italy’; and the 11-day ‘Ecuador: Andes, Amazon and Volcanoes’.

Michael Priest, head of product, said the new additions “offer the most enriching experiences, memorable ‘wow’ moments and hidden cultural gems. These itineraries respond to growing demand for deeper, more authentic journeys, whether that means venturing into the Amazon, exploring ancient ruins or discovering vibrant regional traditions off the beaten path.”
