The Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, will be hosting ‘Lake Como in London – A Journey through the Landscapes and Flavours’
Set to take place on November 4th, 2026, at 6:30pm, this networking evening runs alongside the Chamber’s participation in WTM and will take place at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair.
The event will bring together travel buyers, agencies, tour operators, and representatives of the Anglo-Italian business community for a closer look at the area’s landscapes, cultural heritage, and food and wine traditions.
Representatives of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Como area and the Lombardy Region will join Italian institutional representatives in London to reflect the links between Italy and the UK in tourism, culture and business.
An evening highlight is set to be the official appointment of the new Lake Como Ambassador.
Ezio Vergani, President of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, said, “Returning to London for the second consecutive year, in conjunction with World Travel Market, is an important part of our internalisation strategy.
“We cannot take established markets for granted. We need to keep building relationships internationally while creating new opportunities for our local small and medium-sized businesses.
“Initiatives like this help raise the profile of our business community, strengthen the international recognition of the Lake Como brand and build lasting commercial relationships.”
The initiative forms part of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Lake Como’s international profile and develop new business opportunities for the local tourism sector.
“Lake Como’s presence at WTM is particularly important given the longstanding ties between the UK and our area”, said Fabio Dadati, Chamber Board Member for Tourism, highlighting the value of the initiative.
“We want to encourage travellers and tour operators to discover Lake Como throughout the year, beyond the traditional peak season. Our offer combines the appeal of historic villas, some of which remain open during the winter months, with mountain scenery just a short distance from the lake, outdoor activities and high-quality hospitality.
“It is an invitation to discover a more relaxed side of Lake Como, with authentic experiences and tailor-made itineraries for travellers looking for something distinctive.”
