The solo tour operator is celebrating a quarter of a century in business by committing to plant 25,000 trees at reforestation projects in Morocco, Guatemala, Tanzania, Canada and India
Adam Kemp, Just You's managing director, promises that the programme will be "both inclusive and participatory," elaborating on the operator's relationship with Planeterra, a tourism non-profit.
"Planeterra collaborates directly with organisations representing local communities to ensure their active involvement in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project."
The non-profit's senior manager of climate and biodiversity, Thomas Armit, added, "Planting and growing trees goes beyond environmental benefits - it creates lasting change for the people involved and their communities... we’re proud to collaborate on this meaningful project and look forward to seeing its impact grow."
Until February 28th, 2025, agents can get involved: all trade bookings will include a dedicated tree at one of the reforestation projects. A dashboard has been launched for agents looking to track the progress of each project.
