The small-group escorted tour operator has announce two new trips to Algeria for the 2027 total solar eclipse

Jules Verne has launched two new tours to Algeria which are designed around the highly-anticipated 2027 total solar eclipse. The 2027 total solar eclipse will be the longest of the current century.

Both tours will combine eclipse viewing with the exploration of Algeria's landscapes, cities, and history.

The four-night 'Algeria Eclipse with Andy Green' departs on July 30th, 2027, and takes guests through a deeply immersive tour through northern Algeria accompanied by Andy Green, an expert astronomer. Guests can explore historic highlights including the UNESCO-listed Casbah of Algiers before continuing to Oran to visit architectural landmarks such as the Grande Poste and the Palace of the Bey. Prices lead in from £1,955 per person, with accommodation and all breakfasts included.

The 'Northern Algeria and the Eclipse' itinerary is an eight-night journey through northern Algeria with key cultural and historical highlights, such as the Citadel of Algiers, Mustapha Pacha Palace, and Tipaza. Ahead of the eclipse, astronomer Andy Green hosts a special briefing before guests enjoy a guided viewing from a scenic vantage point. Prices lead in from £3,095 per person, with a departure of July 29th, 2027.

Debbie O’Neill, Managing Director at Jules Verne, commented, “Algeria has performed exceptionally well for us since launch, so the introduction of our two new eclipse tours to the destination is very exciting news for us, offering guests the rare opportunity to witness a total solar eclipse in a spectacular setting."
