Haven has announced a partnership with Team GB, to take sports closer to the coastal holidaymakers.
The holiday park operator will support Team GB in the build-up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The partnership, made in agreement with the British Olympic Association, will see Haven celebrating the Great British coast. It will give families a chance to experience a slice of Tokyo 2020 at Haven?s holiday parks through fun activities, with Team GB Olympians appearing in parks around the UK.
The partnership will provide the guests with the opportunity to meet some of their Team GB players and their mascot, Pride the Lion, at a number of events held at Haven parks across the UK. The athletes will be sharing their experiences with the aim of inspiring the next generation of sports enthusiasts.
The holiday operator offers a variety of outdoor and indoor sports activities from swimming, cycling and sailing to tennis and archery.
Jane Bentall, managing director at Haven, said: ?We are thrilled to announce this momentous partnership for Haven. We are very proud to be supporting the incredible talent of Team GB, one of the UK?s most loved and trusted brands. We will strive to bring Team GB and their athletes closer to our holidaymakers and holiday home owners across England, Scotland and Wales and help those young athletes realise their dreams in getting to Tokyo 2020.?
British Olympic Association CEO, Bill Sweeney, said: ?We?re proud to partner with such a well-known and liked British brand as Haven. The British holiday industry continues to be hugely in demand with Haven?s approach to creating great, affordable family holiday experiences. We feel sure there is real overlap between loyal Haven customers and the Team GB fanbase.
?We're excited by the creative discussions we've already had about how Team GB can promote activity and fun across all of Haven?s parks, including the inclusion of Olympic sports and initiatives linked to Team GB on holiday parks during and outside of Games time. With Tokyo 2020 under 18 months away, they join us at the perfect time."
