Full steam ahead for Just Go!'s bolstered 2025 programme

‘Rail 200 – The Greatest Gathering’ and ‘Flying Scotsman & Steam Legends at Didcot Railway Centre’ will join the operator’s Rail & Steam programme this year

The Greatest Gathering is being hosted at Alstom’s historic Derby Litchurch Lane Works in a unique event to celebrate 200 years of passenger train travel. The site, which will be open to the general public for the time in 50 years, will showcase over 50 iconic locomotives from the past, present and future.

Guests can ride along Derby’s test track before indulging in unique entertainment including fairground attractions, miniature trains in operation, street food and live music.

Just Go! is offering two and three-day breaks which include a full day spent at The Great Gathering, one or two nights’ accommodation near the site and return coach travel. Prices lead in from £169 per person for a two-day break. Departure is scheduled for August 1st, 2025.

Due to the continued demand for its Flying Scotsman breaks, Just Go! has added a new three-day itinerary. In May, both the Flying Scotsman and the Pendennis Castle locomotives will return to the Didcot Living Steam Railway Museum for the first time in 20 years. Guests will spend the day exploring the museum. Prices for the three-day break lead in from £269 per person for departures on May 27th and 30th, 2025.
