Fiji anticipates new air connection after record 2024

The word 'FIJI' written in the sand.

Over a million guests visited Fiji last year; Fiji Airways is celebrating with a new connection set to take flight in April

With more than 980,000 of its visitors arriving by plane, the airline's new Dallas Fort Worth service, which began on December 10th, 2024, and its new flight from Cairns operating from April 10th, 2025 will no doubt provide further supply to cater for the impressive demand, which was up 13.1% in the UK against 2023 last year.

First Class Holidays reported a 118% increase in hotel room nights booked on the island between 2023 and 2024 and Anzcro UK saw a 50% spike in sales.

Brent Hill, Tourism Fiji CEO, said the board is "focused on ensuring that this growth remains sustainable. Our priority is to attract tourists who not only appreciate our stunning landscapes and rich culture but also contribute to a high-yield tourism sector."

Over 80,000 of last year's visitors arrived by cruise ship.

2025 has continued to strengthen the island's momentum with January arrivals from the UK up over 6% against last year.
