This July, the adventure specialist is celebrating its 45th birthday, and is inviting everyone else born in 1981 to celebrate the same milestone with up to 45% off trips across the world
Explore Worldwide first began as a four-page brochure in the summer of 1981, featuring just six tours and the idea of travel centring around genuine experiences.
45 years later, the operator now offers more than 350 adventures across 100 countries, and to celebrate this milestone moment, Explore is helping those also celebrating their 45th birthday to tick off a bucket-list adventure they have always dreamed of.
Managing director Michael Edwards said, “45 years ago, travel looked very different. There were no smartphones, online booking platforms or social media inspiring people to explore the world. Travellers relied on paper maps, guidebooks and postcards, yet the desire to discover new places and cultures was every bit as strong as it is today.
“As we celebrate our own 45th birthday, we wanted to do something genuinely special for everyone celebrating theirs alongside us. Turning 45 is a milestone worth celebrating, and a 45% discount is a remarkable opportunity for people born in 1981 to finally book the bucket-list adventure they’ve always talked about but never quite got around to taking.”
Some of the operator’s best bucket-list adventures include the 15-day ‘Canadian Rockies and Pacific Coast’ from £4,495 per person; the 10-day ‘Simply Vietnam’ itinerary from £1,010 per person; and the seven-day ‘Adventure Holiday to Sri Lanka’ from £960 per person.
