It has been a strong start to the year for the adventure operator after achieving over 70% of 2026 sales targets in January alone
Cycling holidays are proving a popular choice with holidaymakers, representing a 34% year-on-year increase, while long-haul options outperforming European breaks, with Costa Rica becoming a stand-out destination with a 118% increase in bookings compared to last year.
By passenger numbers, the top five tours for the operator include ‘Simply Japan’, ‘Costa Rica Wildlife Tour’, ‘Jordan Discovery’, ‘Highlights of Albania’, and ‘Walking in Madeira’.
Trade partnerships remain a core area of growth for Explore Worldwide – trade bookings in January were up 24% year-on-year globally, and 40% up in the UK, representing 25% of all business compared to 21% last year.
Managing director Michael Edwards said the strong start of the year is a clear indicator of what travellers are looking for in their adventure holidays.
