Intrepid Travel has added over 80 new trips for 2027 designed around different ages, interests, and travel styles
This comes following growing demand for lesser-known destinations and closer-to-home travel experiences.
The new trips include over 50 new destinations, offering travellers new experiences while helping to spread the benefits of tourism across local communities.
For example, guests on the new 14-day ‘Hidden Gems of Thailand’ can visit the Mae Hong Son region, going beyond Chiang Mai’s tourism hub to visit rural mountain villages in the country’s lesser-known north.
The 12-day ‘Turkey Black Sea Adventure’ also features new destinations like Safranbolu, Kastamonu, Samsun, and Trabzon, showcasing the distinctive culture and greener landscapes of Türkiye’s Black Sea coast.
Intrepid is also increasing its focus on destinations closer to home, adding five new locations across Europe, such as Imotski in Croatia, Scotland’s Aviemore, Picos de Europa in Spain and Norway’s Lyngen Alps.
This comes as bookings for Intrepid’s European range increased by 49% year-on-year between 2025 and 2026.
Joanna Reeve, UK & Ireland general manager at Intrepid Travel, said, “Bookings into 2027 are strong and I’m excited that we have over 80 brand new trips with opportunities for customers to connect with local people, experience different cultures, and immerse themselves in nature throughout active itineraries and wildlife experiences.
“The trips explore a range of places all over the world including lesser-known destinations and those closer-to-home. With 22% of Brits saying that travelling closer to home is more important to them now than 12 months ago, agents can choose from a range of fabulous new trips in places like Spain, Türkiye, Norway, Egypt, and Georgia.”
These new trips are set to cater for a wider range of travellers, with the introduction of 15 new family trips and tailored itineraries for younger, more budget-conscious customers.
Active and nature-based travel also stays as a core focus for the company, with new walking and trekking trips in Spain and Sri Lanka, cycling adventures in New Zealand and Rwanda, and unique wildlife experiences across South Africa, Namibia and Kenya.
