EXPLORA III makes Southampton debut with 30 agents onboard

EXPLORA III has made her debut in Southampton yesterday, welcoming 30 agents from across the UK aboard the experience the luxury yacht for themselves

The visit has given travel advisors the opportunity to experience everything the ship has to offer first-hand, including the vast amount of public space and European design. The experience was designed to help agents gain a deeper understanding of the ship, and Explora Journeys as a brand, to help them sell to their clients.

A traditional Crest Exchange Ceremony marked the occasion in the UK port, with Captain Melani exchanging commemorative crests with the Harbour Master at Associated British Ports, Steve Masters; the Sheriff of the City of Southampton, Katherine Barbour; the Councillor and Leader of Southampton City Council, Sarah Bogle; and Director of UK Cruise at Denholm Port Services, Isla Haddow.

Agents and dignitaries enjoyed their lunch in one of EXPLORA III’s seven dining destinations, the Fil Rouge, before disembarking.

Antonia Paradiso, VP & MD UK & Ireland for Explora Journeys, said, “Explora Journeys set out to create a new expression of ultra-elegant ocean travel, appealing to travellers who may never have considered an ocean journey before. EXPLORA III takes that vision further, giving our travel advisor partners an even stronger proposition for attracting new-to-ocean guests.”

EXPLORA III marks the second of Explora Journeys’ fleet to call to Southampton.
