Emerald Cruises will invite guests onboard Emerald Kaia for her maiden voyage on April 4th, 2026
Emerald Kaia’s inaugural 11-day sailing will travel from Limassol to Athens, signalling the start of a landmark year for Emerald Cruises.
Purposely built for 128 guests, she brings a new level of contemporary cruising to UK travellers. Following her Mediterranean debut, the ship will continue her journey through the Red Sea and Suez Canal later in the year before spending the 2026-to-2027 winter sailing the Seychelles and Indian Ocean.
As the Scenic Group celebrates its 40th anniversary, the naming of Emerald Kaia also marks a heartfelt moment for the company and its people. In recognition of their dedicated service, Kim Scoular, Director of Operations, and Ray Gilbert, Senior Software Engineer, have been appointed as Emerald Kaia’s Godparents. Their selection reflects Scenic Group’s enduring values, celebrating the people whose dedication shapes the guest experience.
