Emerald Cruises & Tours has unveiled a first look at Emerald Astra, the line’s latest river ship, ahead of its launch on May 3rd, 2026.
The 180-guest vessel will feature curated art installations in partnership with European galleries, alongside a redesigned Sun Deck with updated furniture and refreshed outdoor areas.
Emerald Astra will sail its inaugural nine-day ‘Enchantment of Eastern Europe’ itinerary from Budapest, calling at Kalocsa, Vukovar, Belgrade, Donji Milanovac, Vidin, Rousse and Bucharest. Lead-in prices start from £3,164 per person.
The ship will then operate a range of core European programmes, including ‘Rhine Castles & Moselle Vineyards’, ‘Jewels of the Rhine’, ‘Splendours of Europe’ and ‘The Majestic Rhine’.

Emerald Astra becomes the 10th ship in the river fleet.
