Early launch of long-haul programme sees 189% rise in Newmarket passengers

Newmarket Holidays has seen a 189% rise in passenger numbers following the launch of its 2029 long-haul programme

The escorted tour operator revealed that agents are driving much of that demand by booking clients well ahead of departure.

Currently the 2029 programme has 33 tours on sale, and the line-up is set to expand again before peaks, giving agents a wider choice to sell as they head into the busiest selling period of the year.

The 2029 range covers six regions: Africa, East Asia, India and the Indian Ocean, Latin America, North America, and Southeast Asia.

Best-selling tours since launch include ‘On Safari in South Africa – Mabula Lodge’, ‘Elvis Presley’s Memphis, New Orleans & Nashville’, and ‘On Safari in South Africa – Rhino West Lodge’.

All three tours reflect customers’ desire for wish-list travel, alongside the benefits of an escorted tour.

“Launching 2028 early has paid off,” said Hayley Morris, head of trade sales and partnerships at Newmarket Holidays.

“We’re seeing triple-digit growth in passenger numbers, which shows customers are ready to plan their long-haul holidays further out, and we’ve been adding tours to keep pace with that demand.

“For our trade partners, that means more to sell, sooner, and more time to secure their agent’s first-choice dates.”
