Celestyal unveils new onboard programme for Western Med sailings

Celestyal has announced a new onboard programme for Celestyal Discovery’s Western Mediterranean sailings

The ship’s first dedicated season in this region will feature new shows, regionally inspired menus and destination-focused activities.

Set to complement the 1,360-guest ship’s new deployment, starting from December 5th, the programme offers food, wine, music, and cultural experiences inspired by the destinations visited.

The Western Mediterranean programme aboard Celestyal Discovery will operate during the winter 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, with a 14-night itinerary including overnight stays in Barcelona and Lisbon, as well as visiting Malaga, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Cadiz, Tangier, Valencia, Palma, and Sète.

Dining will include new menus, with highlights of the Taverna buffer including Portuguese caldo verde, Spanish gazpacho and churros, Italian arancini, and Moroccan tagines.

On the entertainment side, new shows have been introduced, crafted around the destinations visited throughout the sailing.

Janet Parton, vice president of marketing, PR and customer experience at Celestyal, said, “Being authentically Med is about the feeling guests take away from their holiday as much as the places they visit.

“As we expand west, we want to carry that spirit with us while embracing the distinct character of each destination. The experience onboard should help guests feel connected to the region, encouraging discovery and giving them more reasons to explore when they step ashore.”

Guests can choose seven-night sailings between Barcelona and Lisbon, or combine the itinerary with an eight-night ‘Mediterranean Riviera’ voyage between Athens and Barcelona to create a 22-night holiday.

Prices for a seven-night sailing lead in at £419 per person, including meals, soft drinks, essential WiFi, port fees, and gratuities.
