The Cayman Islands has just the ticket to keep its holiday plans looking sunny
The destination has officially rolled out its 2026 “Worry Free Hurricane Guarantee”, promising unparalleled peace of mind for travellers heading over this summer and autumn.
Billed as the only destination-wide assurance of its kind in the Caribbean, this nifty safety net means holidaymakers can lock in their getaway with total confidence.
The specialty promise covers cancellations triggered by a government-issued hurricane watch, alongside compensation if a much-needed trip is unexpectedly cut short by inclement weather. At most, guests will face a one-night penalty for cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to check-in once a watch is issued.
Even better, a whole host of participating on-island hotels, villas, and condos are throwing in a generous re-booking window. Many are even offering a free replacement stay for the exact same duration as the original booking.
Rosa Harris, Director of Tourism, commented, “Our annual Worry Free Hurricane Guarantee allows our visitors to focus on the exciting part of travel, deciding what they are going to see, eat, and do in the Cayman Islands, and not have to stress as they know their investment is protected.”
The guarantee covers participating properties across Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman.
