Brazil has been welcoming British tourists in droves, hitting record numbers in the first half of 2026
Between January and May 2026, 97,677 Brits touched down in Brazilian destinations. That’s a 11.23% jump compared to the same period in 2025, marking the highest volume of UK visitors in history for those first five months. May alone saw a near 5% bump from the UK, making it the strongest May since 2017.
And it’s not just us Brits catching the Brazilian bug. The wider European market is soaring, advancing 17.21% over the same five-month stretch with over 860,000 arrivals. The irresistible blend of vibrant culture, jaw-dropping nature, and world-class gastronomy is hitting all the right notes for long-haul holidaymakers seeking genuine diversity and adventure.
Bruno Reis, president of Embratur (the Brazilian Tourist Board), said, "This growth reinforces the effectiveness of international promotion and confirms Europe as a priority market for Brazilian tourism."
