Blissful Balearics seek to banish bad behaviour

The Balearic Islands government has hosted its first global summit, bringing together 80 participants from ten countries to discuss antisocial issues relating to tourism with a specific focus on alcohol abuse.

The summit welcomed UK organisations such as ABTA, Thomas Cook, The British Consulate, The UK Retail Forum, the Alcohol Policy Youth Network, as well as airport, police and university representatives who shared idea about the impact of antisocial tourism behaviour, particularly on flights, and in clubs, leisure areas and hotels. The objective of this summit was to discuss measures and solutions, with the results of the summit to be presented via strategic administrative bodies.
