Disney fans rejoiced this weekend as D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event spilled the beans on what lies ahead for the resorts, cruise line, and upcoming blockbusters
Over at Walt Disney Resort, new details were revealed for Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, where guests will be able to tell who is the fairest of them all with two major attractions inspired by the Magic Mirror and Maleficent. Details have also been announced for the Cars expansion at the park, including new attractions named ‘Cars Ridge Run Rally’ and ‘Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along’.
In Animal Kingdom, more details have been revealed for the ‘Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent’ attraction, as well as information around Encanto’s first attraction, ‘Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto’.
Monstropolis is coming to Disney Hollywood Studios, the Yeti will return to life in Expedition Everest, and Dreamfinder and Figment will also return with a new journey at EPCOT.
On the high seas, details around the new wish-class ship Disney Believe have been revealed, with the announcement of who guests will be able to find onboard. Moana will stand as the Grand Hall icon, with Tinkerbell sprinkling her pixie dust on the bow, and Woody and Buzz entertaining guests on the stern.
The ship is penned to set sail in 2027. A new Disney Cruise Line ship has also been announced for a debut in 2029.
Finally, in Disneyland Paris, Hyperspace Mountain will become Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune; new details have been shared for the first-ever Lion King attraction; and a brand-new daytime parade will make its debut in 2028.
