Two new shore excursion collections will be available to guests from this year: the ‘Meet the Maker’ and ‘Community Connections’ collections will feature more than 150 tours worldwide
‘Meet the Maker’ options provide the opportunity for guests to get to know local chefs, farmers and tradespeople responsible for the flavours and traditions of the region.
Tours include the ‘Tasmanian Tasting Trail’ available on the 14-day Australia and New Zealand voyage priced from £2,429; and the ‘Magna Grecia Farm Experience’ in Katákolon, Greece, where guests will explore the olive groves of a fourth-generation farm. The tour is available on the 11-day Greek Isles: Istanbul Overnight with Dubrovnik sailing priced from £2,429.
The ‘Community Connections’ options showcase the ways of life at each destination and support local businesses.
Examples include ‘At Home with the O’Hanlon Family’ in Cork where guests dine with a family for a traditional Irish lunch; and the ‘Maori Waka (Canoe) Experience’ in Waitangi, New Zealand, where guests will board the vessel and travel down the Waitangi River after a traditional welcome ceremony.
Carole Biencourt, vice president of onboard revenue, irritated how guests’ desire for deeper, more authentic experiences inspired the new collections.
“These experiences go far beyond traditional sightseeing, opening doors to kitchens, workshops, and community spaces so travellers can share stories, learn time-honoured techniques, and engage directly with the people who shape each place.”
Currently, Holland America Line is running its ‘Have it All’ offer: guests who book applicable voyages with the ‘Have it All’ fare by February 26th, 2026, will receive a free stateroom upgrade, free parking on Dover departures, and reduced fares for children travelling as a third and fourth guest.
