Atlas Ocean Voyages announces new pre-voyage experiences across Africa

Atlas Ocean Voyages has unveiled seven new pre-voyage land experience programmes for spring 2029

The new programmes are designed to complement Atlas Ocean Voyages’ Kenya and South Africa voyages for guests sailing aboard Atlas Adventurer.

They are designed to suit a range of durations and levels of exclusivity, each reflecting the luxury expedition cruise line’s signature standard of boutique luxury.

The spring 2029 collection features three programmes departing from Nairobi, one of which was developed in partnership with luxury travel operator Abercrombie & Kent, four from Johannesburg, and one from Cape Town.

Atlas Ocean Voyages’ partnership with Abercrombie & Kent, exclusively on the A&K Sanctuary land experience, is an eight-day journey spanning three private reserves.

Atlas is also offering two additional land experience safaris, including a four-day introduction to Amboseli and Tsavo East, giving guests more ways to explore Kenya beyond the voyage.

Excursions to Cape Town showcase the range of landscapes southern Africa has to offer, from the vineyards of the Cape Winelands to the private reserves of Greater Kruger, and the wilds of the Okavango Delta and Chobe, culminating for one programme in a visit to Victoria Falls.

James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, said, “An expedition doesn’t have to begin upon arrival at the yacht.

“These new safari experiences give our guests the chance to enhance their journey with a truly immersive land excursion encountering Africa’s extraordinary wildlife and landscapes, before they ever set food aboard Atlas Adventurer.”
