Aqua Expeditions is to waive the single supplement fee on select departures in 2018, thereby giving solo travellers an opportunity to explore two rivers - Amazon and Mekong - at no extra cost.
The cruise operator has looked to tailor the solo travel experience with adventure-packed cruise itineraries complete with locally employed guides who can offer expert insight on where to stay, where to go and which places to visit.
With a small ship capacity of 32-40 passengers, solo travellers can socialise with others during dinner and other activities such as biking, swimming and kayaking. On Aqua Mekong, holidaymakers can enjoy the vibrant culture, history and cuisines of Southeast Asia, with daily excursions including shore excursions to serene Buddhist temples and stilted village markets selling tropical fruit.
On Aria Amazon, travellers will delve deep into Amazonia's tributaries and can seek out the rich wildlife in a jungle walk.
