Aussie Specialist agents in the UK are invited to participate in Corroboree West 2019, taking place from October 5 to 18.
Corroboree West gives UK Aussie Specialists, along with frontline travel sellers from Europe, the USA and Canada, the opportunity to meet with more than 100 Australian tourism operators to find out the latest news on the destination?s travel experiences.
Tourism Australia managing director John O?Sullivan said: ?Australia has long been a popular destination for travellers from the UK, with more than 730,000 UK travellers visiting in the past year, contributing more than $3.5 billion to the Australian economy. Our network of Aussie Specialist Agents is at the frontline connecting UK travellers with new travel experiences across Australia to ensure they continue to visit our country in the future. Attending Corroboree West is the perfect opportunity for UK agents to see first-hand the range of extraordinary travel experiences as well as the professionalism, creativity and innovation of Australia?s tourism operators at a single event.?
Tourism Australia?s Corroboree events, which take place annually, alternate between Eastern and Western markets each year, and include a combination of training workshops and familiarisations exclusively for Aussie Specialists.
The event in Perth will also give agents the chance to experience the city?s transformation in recent years with an expanding range of infrastructure and experiences, including Optus Stadium, Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square, along with new and refurbished hotels as well as the expanding bar and restaurant scene.
Following the workshop event in Perth, Aussie Specialists will break up into groups to attend six-day / five-night familiarisation trips around the country hosted by Australia?s State and Territory Tourism Organisations.
