The first details and renderings of the river cruise line’s new ship, AmaRudi, have been revealed, ready to set sail as the largest river ship in Europe
Building on the design of sister ship AmaMagna, AmaRudi will accommodate up to 196 guests in 98 staterooms and suites, offering a large amount of personal space, multiple dining venues, expansive wellness facilities, and an abundance of public spaces.
Dining will be at the heart of the ship, with multiple venues ranging from the Journey’s Restaurant and The Chef’s Table to al fresco experiences and intimate bars. The ship will also feature a built-in Deck Club barbecue on the Sun Deck.
AmaRudi will introduce a new entertainment concept created exclusively for the ship. Designed as a vibrant social hub, the venue will feature a cinema, karaoke, billiards and a jukebox.
CEO Catherine Powell, said, “AmaRudi reflects our confidence in the future of rivier cruising and our continued commitment to innovation. From the moment AmaMagna launched, travellers and travel advisors have been asking if we would ever build another ship like her. With AmaRudi, we’re taking that concept event further."
The ship also celebrates another milestone: it is the first in the fleet to be named after a man, honouring co-founder Rudi Schreiner.
Rudi said, “More travellers are making the transition from ocean cruising to rivers, and many are looking for a sense of space and choice. AmaMagna was one of the most rewarding projects of my career, so having this new ship carry my name makes it especially meaningful.”
AmaRudi will make her debut on the Danube River in spring 2027, where she will operate some of the line’s most popular itineraries.
